about

Whimsical and deliberately honest lyrics with catchy melodies and a soulfully charming voice. Air Mail is an expression of four pivotal sentiments living and playing ukulele in London & the Middle East during a "Qatar Life Crisis".

Amelia Robinson is a visionary composer who engages the community through innovative live musical performances. Born and bred in Brooklyn, she splits her time between NY & London running a unique children's performance series called Mil's Trills that exposes families to rare instruments through original songs and storytellings. Her music is uplifting, fun and often satirical. Double entendres are summoned when approaching sensitive topics such as family birth order and Amelia laughs at herself with a sense of humanistic humor as a friendly reminder that life is just too short. As a result, Mil's Trills' popularity is driven not only by it's role as a resource for music education, but also by the appreciation of Amelia's music by all ages.

Amelia's quirky style is explained in the process of her songwriting. Melodies come first and notes are filled with descriptive words that create the imagery surrounding her in that moment of inspiration. As a result, song topics range from observing strangers on the subway to frustrating experiences with men having difficulty expressing their emotions. What an audience loves about Amelia is not just her songs and her charming voice, but her dynamic personality and charismatic stage presence.

about

Amelia & the Family Business is a group of dynamite musicians fronted by a proud Brooklyn-native who rocks the electric ukulele. With a swing in her step, elastic vocals, and no shortage of innuendos, this is 'hip-poppin' & 'jaw-droppin' music.’

Track Name: Stuck in Qatar
Music and fire, fancy attire. We'll draw you a crowd, and make your boss proud. As puppets we'll play, all bloody day. We'll do as you say, as long as you pay.

But I draw the line, when it comes to this. Give me the fine for one kiss.

Raise the alarm, she doesn't conform. Break down the walls in these buildings you're paying for. We can fight but how with no right, enslaved in this city you have made.

You brought us here, you broke the law, and then you complain that we've taken it too far. Stuck in Qatar.

You say, "Who needs them, if they express creative freedom? Play us a cover, and then we'll ask for another." Show us some style we'll pack you away and send you to exile.

You brought us here, against the law, and then you complain that we've taken it too far. Stuck in Qatar.
